Syrène Bikinis are made from light but strong rayon viscose. Viscose is a fibre made from wood pulp, so even though it is man made, it is a natural fibre, so it 'breathes' and feels lovely against the skin. Viscose drapes and swings beautifully. The material is softer than cotton and more springy than silk. It is comfortable to wear.
This yarn can be hand dyed in gorgeous colour combinations to give your bikini it's uniqueness. With care and a special technique, the yarn takes up the colour beautifully and the colour is 'fixed' with a resin solution to prevent run and fade.
